Please no, let it stay in the past. You can NEVER resurrect it. Look what happened to Series 8 ffs.
I'm stoutly against this, which is ironic being that I'm a huge fan. I will watch it, but I don't have high expectations, as the whole point of the series was that they wouldn't ever get back to Earth. Argh, it's just all wrong. Plus the last time that Grant and Naylor split up the show suffered for it.

To all Nay sayers: Don't f**king watch it.
If you want to "leave it in the past" or sense it going "horribly wrong" - Don't watch it. The worst that can happen for you is you miss out on two perfectly good pieces of comedy. I for one am dissappointed Craig Charles is being reffered to as 'the one from coronation street' - please don't let him be remembered as this for future generations :'(

It would be nice to see "more of the same", but it will never be "the same" so it may have been better to let it rest.
That said... it might be better... you never know.

I agree with Dr Dunce, if you think it's going to spoil it for you don't watch it. Your loss, I think it will be at least a laugh to see the original crew back together, been years since seeing most of them on TV in anything decent.
It is a crime that Craig Charles is being referred to as "the one from Coronation Street", he's done many quality programs.. like Robot Wars, or indeed... "the one from Red Dwarf." (as the people interested in this will known who he is anyways!).

Red Dwarf, one of the best TV shows I've ever seen. I watched it throughout my childhood and teenage years. I owe every episode on vhs and dvd, including the extra 'Smeg Ups' and 'Smeg Outs' shows.

Im looking forward to it. I think they'll have leant from series 8, and that that kochanski woman was TERRIBLE and couldnt act and wasnt funny. saying that there were moments in series 8 which were pure genius, even if it wasnt great as a whole. Craig charles.. i didnt even know he was in coronation street. his career did go downhill :/ who can forget he was commentator on Takeshis Castle?!! epic.

No but, i really do love Chris Barrie though. Looking at my earlier comment it sounded a bit fake (perhaps due to caps locks) but i really do love him. I loved him when i was 4 years old and i watched Red Dwarf with my dad, i just love him.
