KING OF THE LAN!!!11oneone
These rules are subject to change based on silliness occurring! Cheating will NOT be tolerated :P Rules: Our very own GeoSnipe will be first King. Any player may challenge the current king on a game of their choice, the game must be on the list or otherwise sanctioned by Geo or Kharne. The King/Queen has to accept the challenge, or forfeit the crown. (The challenge can be ignored if it is not on the official list). The Crown is then passed to the challenger and they receive 1 point. If the King wins you cannot re-challenge for another hour, and the King receives 1 point. If you re-challenge, you must choose a different game. The challenger list is on the white board and you must return to the back of the queue if you wish to re-challenge. All challenges must be serious - any "handing off" of the crown will result in punishment! After winning a game, the new or existing king/queen of the lan must stand (In the main LAN area) and state clearly: “I AM STILL KING OF THE LAN, AND GLADLY ACCEPT ALL CHALLENGERS!” or “I AM THE NEW KING OF THE LAN, AND GLADLY ACCEPT ALL CHALLENGERS!” or some entertaining variation of the above. If the King/Queen is currently engaged in a non-king-of-the-lan activity (Drinking, toilets or other games!) then they are allowed a 15 minute grace period to accept the challenge. The only exception to this is our big game schedule. The King is allowed 1 hour if they are partaking in the current big game (e.g. if they are playing BLUR as the current big game, and it started at 8pm, they cannot be challenged until 9pm, unless they stop playing earlier. King of the LAN takes place from 10am till 10pm. The King/Queen must be ready to accept all challenges again at 10am, otherwise the crown will reset to Geo. The crown must be returned to Geo’s desk before the King retires to bed. The winner of “King of the LAN” is the person with the most points at the finish time. They will receive a nice surprise gift which will be presented by Geo & Kharne on Monday at 11am. King of the LAN begins at 20:00 on the Friday night and officially ends at 10:50am on the Monday. King of the LAN Official Game List (Challenger chooses map/song/track etc) PC (Both Players must own the game, or otherwise supply a machine to play on): SC2 (BO1) CS1v1(First to 10 Aim map) COD41v1 (10 Mins 1v1 “TDM”) UT2k41v1 (10 Mins 1v1 DM (Normal weapons or insta) Q3A (10 Mins 1v1 DM) BLUR 1v1 CONSOLE (In the console area): (Xbox)Tekken 6 (BO5 Rounds) (Xbox)SSF4 (BO5 Rounds) (Xbox)Guitar Hero 5 (1 song) (Xbox)Forza3 (Any race that takes about 10 mins or less)

Although I'm not going to be there my only observation is that the list is lacking in driving games. Most obvious ones would be Gran Tourismo on PS3, Forza on 360 or Trackmania on PC?
As it is its rather FPS heavy.

No racing games in the list? Needs to be 1v1 Blur or something similar there (needs to be a direct competition game rather than time trial-esque like Trackmania imo). Also Hedgewars might bring out some hilarity.

Agreed, will add a racing game on PC. Blur. Ill have a look at what racing games we have on console also

I wont be there
 , but the games list is very FPS heavy. I suggest adding a couple of puzzle games to the list. Try..Super Puzzle Fighter Dr Robotnick's Mean Bean Machine Puzzle Quest (I think has multiplayer vs mode).

Heh, I've played 5/10 of those, ever... and only 2 of these modes out of those 5. Good of you to stick Q3A on for the old folks!
I reckon whoever queues the most times will win because of the structure... You just pick your favourite and then get deposed by the next guy who picks his... Will be a few winners staying on but the queueing will be the main thing. Will be fun to see how it plays out though!
