I've been running my server's plugins recently mostly through ftp, but I wasn't able to update my whitelist that way. So, I opened my server's profile on clanforge and changed it there. As soon as the server restarted, everyone was a new member, spawning at the spawn point with nothing to their name. Our world was as we left it, but our inventories were stripped. My questions is, is this going to be a problem going forward, or should I look at it as a one-time problem? The server has had several autorestarts according to it's log and this hasn't happened (but it hasn't had one this month yet, nor has it done a successful auto-backup in February).

If it hasn't done an auto backup I suggest contact Multiplay with that issue, there was a simillar promlem a while back.
I suggest use /whitelist <add|remove> <playername> This will allow you to add people while in game rather then have to edit it via clanforge. In the past I have had a lot of configs reset or get overwritten while using clanforge just after FTP. (Files that I deleted too reappear) So I mostly do all the editing via FTP and only when I have to edit via clanforge. Don't know why it removed all your items unless you installed a inventories mod(World inventories, MultiInv, Multiverse-Inventories) |
