My friends "Can't reach server"

My friends cant reach my server. we tried 3 different computers. and nothing works, i restarted/reset/stoped and started the server many times. i have the server set up how i want it and i want to fix this problem with out deleting my world. Any staff that can help me?

So When they add the server to there server list on the minecraft launcher does it say can't reach server or does it show up to them telling them how many slots are open?
If its can't reach server its due to the server not running correctly check your server logs and if you can't find cause there post the last prob 50 lines here.
Also if you want do 2 ftp resets with the middle box checked

do you have "white list=true" in your server.properties? if so their names need to be on the list

I am having similar issue. I am able to connect to a server run by another friend, but we have another friend trying to connect to the same server and he is getting "Can't find server" error. He used to be able to connect fine to this server. Not sure what has changed.

Either one of 3 things is happening:

His firewall is blocking the port.
His router is blocking it.
Or
He simply hasn't put the address in correctly.

He turned off his firewall and tried connecting. He got the same message. How can we check to see if router is blocking it?

Generally a router wont block it and I do not suggest disabling a firewall on the router. If the router does not show any logs of it blocking it, it will not be the problem.

Really what I think is going on is the address he is putting in is not correct, make sure you tell him to type it in and not copy and paste. Is he using spoutcraft's launcher ? I use to have problems sometimes from when I use to use it and it could never connect to my server unless I connected to a server with spout in the plugin list.
Ask him to ping the IP address in CMD to see if he can talk to the IP address.
