A BF "through the ages" tournament could be fun
Round 1: 1942 Round 2:Vietnam Final round: BF2 (2142 does not exist) I'd actually consider puntering again for a 1 off fun fest of BF (although ive not touched it in years)

Infantry in BFv was actually very fun. or may be im just being nostalgic.
I loved the fact you could fire an AK or M16 from across the map with high accuracy, then the setting for the game moves on 20/30 years with BF2, and the same weapons now have a huge miss to hit ratio at extreme ranges. So much for technological progress. For that matter i also miss all the little tricks from 42/vietnam we learned as a team and incorporated into tactics. They really were games that you had to know inside out to be any good.
