Eve online, anyone bored and want to get rid of char?

Hi guys..

I have decided to return to Eve once more, it fits in better with my free time (or lack of) than WoW does, so I am looking for a players account that wants to sell/ retire / quit, I used to play EVE but I gave the account to a friend and he still uses it..

OR maybe, if you want I have a lvl 70 mage on bladefist with epic flying mount if you want to swop an Eve Account for a WoW account.. also on same server 27 priest, 24 warlock, 27 hunter..

Let me know what you have, im more interested in total Skill points than actual cash or ships, its the skill points that take the time to get..

You could always buy one of the multitude of characters from http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingamebo...annelID=544711

Do the EVE T+C's actually allow buying/selling and trading of accounts?

Yeah thats what I said, you can sell characters for isk, not accounts, so you have to pay to get it transfered to another account.

Pirating, or at least indiscrimate NBSI killing is where it's at.

As for account sales, they are never permitted. Accounts are not ever allowed to change hands.

However, using CCP's character transfer system, you are allowed to transfer characters for free or for ISK (though not for real life cash).

Additionally, you can turn cash into ISK by buying timecards from places like http://www.shatteredcrystal.com and then selling them to other players for ISK. This is completely legit, so before anyone starts mithering about admins 'allowing' stuff (CYPHER ) do your bloody research before you start crusading about something you have no knowledge of.

But he asked to buy an ACCOUNT, or trade a EVE account for a WoW one (which afaik also goes against the WoW T+C), which is AGAINST the rules. And for several hours, noone stepped in to point out that this was in breach of the EULA...

But asking where you can get (legal) software on IRC, is more than enough to get threatened with a ban ¬_¬ As I said, hence my pedanticity.

I'd call reading through the EULA several times over several years, for several games... doing my research tbh... and yes, I was well aware of the character-transfer setup... but that isnt what he was asking for

Edit: Crusading now means "Highlighting an issue conflicting with game rules?". Partially remembering the EULA, I added a point to the thread, which was expanded upon (under certain circumstances it was allowed), then further expanded it by including the rules for referance. And its true... MPUK admins often ignore threads regarding illegal game-account sales... Yet jump down peoples throats who ask genuinly innocent questions (such as my case, "Anyone know where I can get something like ##software## online?", which was responded to by threatening to ban me for trying to access warez through the MPUK community, which clearly wasnt the case...)
So if anything, maybe its you who needs to do their research?... or simply read what zhardoum first posted? :P

Except for the post 3 minutes later linking him to the forum for character sales, which contains all the rules he'd need to know? Stop rules lawyering and be helpful, even I'd not be this pedantic.

I had a look at the character-sales page... but nothing about "trading lvl70 mages for EVE accounts", nor sales allowing a non-EVE player, to obtain existing characters were too obvious.

Thus my post WAS helpful, because now zhardoum is aware that if he procedes to try to purchase an existing EVE account, or trade one account for another, its in breach of the EVE rules.

Personally CCP rules are pathetic. Basically they say you are not allowed to buy a character or sell one for real money or trade for other accounts, but they are more than happy to allow you to buy game time cards from themselves for cash, sell them for in game currency and then allow you to buy a character with said in game currency. Basically they just wanna get the money.

Their EULA is pointless as its just a means to ensure that they receive the money. Personally I think they shouldnt allow character trading fullstop, but if they allow their shenanigans to go on then I cant see why ppl shouldnt trade for real life money - its the same thing, just CCP arent getting their 'cut'

If you want to start a thread on 'why the Eve EULA sucks' then feel free. Otherwise, leave this thread for helping zhardoum find a char.

well i have started an eve char, im just letting it sit idle for a week or so while it gets all the learning skills up, although i hav been looking through the forums and it seems pirating has been nerfed.. kinda.. now this is what the forums say, im in no position to go to .1 space hunting, but it seems that because of the latest patch guilds are now concentrating oin huge fleet battles and that traders plying their way through open deep space has to a large extent been stopped.

im getting this from forums but anyone care to comment before i go and order my eyepatch..

hmm, right now.. erm im broke.(ish). i have so much going on in my life what with the shop and apple and what not I dont have the money. 50 million skill points is probably worth somewhere in the 300 quid range, and i cant justify that.

50 quid, yeah, but then i'd feel guilty that i was taking advantage of you, but its about all i'd realistically spend on a game char.. and i know i know its not enough.. its just all I can justify spending..

Okay you cant sell accounts for RL money. You can sell chars for isk though. But if you sell for real money they will tend to ban all the accounts. Basicly dont do it. Sell the chars on EVE o forums and send me the isk instead

Heck if you dont want the chars ill have em, no cost to you ill pay the transfer fee and they go to a good home. But selling them for real money does tend to result in bans.
