Hello all, I have had my player on the server for around 3 hours and not a single public has joined
Every time we get an update something always seems to get affected

Working perfectly for me on two servers. Try removing B2K and conquest maps then seed again with rush, city maps like Seine, Metro or Bazaar seem to work best. Once you have 20+ people on just change your map cycle to whatever you normally use.

Hi there, I have never needed to do this before and had plenty of quick match connections. Unless the amount of BF3 players has dropped recently something is not quite right

There are a number of factors effecting things currently;
Fewer and fewer players around.
Still way more server capacity then players available to fill them.
Running B2K maps excludes all the people without the expansion from joining your server - a very large figure.

Only managed to get 8 players max on my server all day something has changed as the rotation and game type has been fairly good up till now.

I would agree that there as been alot less players around joining by Quick join-- I know that some people still have not updated there PB which is causing people them to get kick hence they have stop playing for a while (even thou this has been fixed).

Our server has been much slower starting off since the last PB update, as it takes us to about 4 o clock to get to 64 players, where before we would be at 64 players by lunch time.
I personally think that I not getting as many quicker join players from other countries, maybe there is still a problem or they have change a setting on the quick join.

im having the same prob today spent over an hour and a half and only got about 3 players .. so now i have stopped the server to let it cool down

Initially I get a couple of player connect very quickly then nothing, I have noticed this a few times I have restarted the server, its like my server is seen in the browser then somehow gets removed etc.

i have had the opposite problem :P since this update- my servers have been consistently full. i thought it had something to do with the end of the month and servers not renewing.

My 64 player server that was doing great is no pretty much dead even when I get regulars around 6 or 7 on it never increases
Could be the end of BF3 for me fairly soon

mrix i cam on your server earlier and you was afk. maybe you should try and use the adaptive server size plugin to help with your server as its a big server to fill and even ours at 40 man is difficult to fill without it.. just a thought it might help you havent got anything to lose not trying it

mrix i cam on your server earlier and you was afk. maybe you should try and use the adaptive server size plugin to help with your server as its a big server to fill and even ours at 40 man is difficult to fill without it.. just a thought it might help you havent got anything to lose not trying it

In all honesty I have tried so many different things over the past when server problems happen that has waisted so much of my time to find out there was nothing wrong my end and in fact it was an issue with the browser.

For such a significant change after this New browser update I can only assume something has changed again.

I will no longer we wasting my time but think now I might just call it a day when this months server runs out.

Yep sure did about 30 mins cooling then filled up in about 40 mins.. i think my server is tired

Hey it wouldnt take 10 mins to get you up and running i can help if you like pm me if you would like me to sort it for you real quick.

Yeah don't give up mrix . Sometimes you just need to go to basics to fill the server.
- If running our mixed mode 64 player map cycle isn't working we take out the B2K maps.
- If its still not working we take out the conquest 64 maps
- If its still not working we take out all rush maps and just leave Metro Rush on.

If the server still isn't filling then I'd say you have a problem.
I reckon it will fill though... you will just need to change map cycles to what you want to play when enough people are on

EDIT: Should add we are seeding from early in the day using a plugin.
EDIT2: Sent friends request on Battlelog. We should all team up to form a multiplay server admin union to make sure our servers are full and popular

Hi EntraVenuS, sorry I been out most of the morning but I have had some regulars on but only managed to reach 6 players in total, I have changed back today to pure New maps only which just a few weeks ago was filling our server everyday until my members got tired of the New maps.
I just realised it was set to 6 player start that was not going to help so I dropped it back to just two.

I seem to only be getting 1-2 people joining the server about every hour compared to about 6 people before the PB update :-( but I have not manage to get our 64 player server above 10 players today because people keep leaving the server after an hour or so and that’s with about 3to4 regulars staying online on the server for 2-3 hours at a time, so there’s either a very low amount of people online on the servers at the mo or they have change something maybe a sort/search setting, so that the servers are not always showing up. I believe it to be the latter because the server fills up in the evening or at least get’s more people joining the server, which then makes me think that with are not getting as much people joining servers for abroad.

The adaptive server size plugin is awesome. Though the rconNET.de Free Slot Controller just got updated so I might switch to that now purely for the convenience of not needing my Procon Netbook on
