Hi I was wondering what kind of security measures are being undertaken at i3. I mean most of us would be bringing ninja-kick-arse-super-dooper-wooper-computers to the LAN party and I was wondering what you lot would be doing to keep it all safe.

Yeah, I heard that hardware bandit is going to be on the prowl. He comes with a Celeron-333/128M, and leaves with a PIII600/moreramthanyoucanphysicalyputonyourmothermoardM. I know *I* will have my eyes open for the little thief.

At i2, every item of equipment was labelled with that person's booking reference, all of which were checked on departure. Everyone in attendance is required to wear a security badge at all times, which are also checked on entry and exit of the event.
Swindon Town F.C. also provide security staff to assist MPUK staff, who already provide 24hr on the door coverage.
We've not had any troubles with a participants PC in the past, and we don't plan on starting now.
Cheers,

I hate when people have better omputers than me so you can expect me to steal your stuff when you go to sleep. I'll just headbutt the guy/gal who sits next to you and knows that the computer isn't mine then steal his/her stuff too. I even have an ongoing bet that I can get out with 7 IBM's at the same time. I'll just pile them up on Honkie[USA] and hope nobody notices. I think we'll steal Wizzo too (not Wizzo's computer... we're taking Wizzo).
that's all.
p.s. bring soap and deodorant to i3 so you don't smell.

No, We are taking Wizzo as a hostage. You computer type people coulden't take the loss of your i# leader, so, hand over the RAM and the wallets or he gets it.
