I read about Allegance ages ago and it ot good ratings but i never really sawit in shops and assumed it never took off.
Is it really good enough for me to go out and get it now cos theidea sounded cool when i read about it
Also is there a giant community and lots of active players?

personally, i don't like it
but that doesn't mean no-one plays it, in fact far from it. you can expect a huge game of it at some point during i11, at most 32v32, which is good to spectate ;)
i'm sure FearHawk will now post, and have me, and tell you all how good it is tho :)

It's an absolute quality game. Way ahead of it's time, and so poorly marketed that it's the "best game no-one ever heard of" :) Thoroughly recommended... ignore the pe0ns above :)

it is quite superb, the newbies can have fun just dogfighting and turret gunning and stuff while those who know what they're doing can do the more complex strategic tasks, and those who really know what they're doing can command
quite pleasing :)

Allegiance (if I can ever type the dam word correctly) is by far the best Multiplayer experience ever once you're over the very steep learning curve. There are guides available at http://ma.alleg.net and http://ww.multiplay.co.uk/infoshow.asp?id=64 for once you've done the in-game tuition (which doesn't actually help you with gameplay that much, but is essential for getting to know the interface etc)

I might get it then seeing as I now have broadband
I did see it in a shop for £8 so i might run down and buy it :D
As you say the most unmarketed game ever - i only saw the review in PCGamer and that was it but it got a good review and if any of you have ever heard of Diaspora i was looking for something to replace that

PCZone (the best PC journalistic magazine available imho) reviewed it as well and gave it a good mark - somthing like 88% i think.
