The first thing you need to know about COunter Strike is that you can only see in one direction! (if you didnt know that then you are VERY stupid)
The second is that you can here people in corridors at doors at a hostage or just walking around.

USE YOU EARS!
If you are on your own against 1 or 2 (or more) walk around (hold shift(by default)) and listin avoid doors.
If you are terrorist then go and plant the bomb or get closer to the hostages.
If your Counter Terrorist try and get hte hostages but remember that they speak when you make them move, walk and try hear you opponent befor they see you.

start off by getting a low ping, learn a couple of network tweaks then when they shoot at u, close your eyes, hold the fire button and jump a lot.... weeeeeeeeee - sorted
