Help!!!!!!!!!!!

On my win98 i keep getting the meaage:

cannot open search page.

when i try to go onto a web site. It dials up fine and on my Win Xp it all works fine so what can i do to resolve this? Also any other internet communication software doesnt work.

Does any1 know what is going on and how to resolve this problem. It all started since i reformatted my HDD and now my internet connection doesnt work on my 98 but does on my XP (if you are wondering i am running 2 OSs)

i take it the xp machine is the host, if so folow these steps =]

1. on the host right click on 'my network places' and then click on 'set up a small home or office network'.... set the xp machine to directly connect to the internet through a permanent internet connection....click next and continue....the last screen will ask what will u use to configure the other machines (select use windows xp cd) then insert the win xp cd into other macine and run additional tasks, do the same as above but on this one select 'connect to the internet through local area network' and this should solve the prob,

NO! not in a connection with another computer! I have 2 OSs on my 60Gig HDD and with the 98 version i am getting this trouble. I have tried the connection wizard, reinstalling the software but have had no luk

Also does any1 know what the Pci system management bus is?

ok ill try but first tell me what conn have u got, sounds like 56k if so tell me info like who ya with (isp) and if u are using any firewalls ? etc
