Well line test passed - apparently was going to be installed on 26th. Of course, what happens ????? Line goes completely dead this morning!
Turns out they've switched the wires over without actually telling me which is a bugger as I havent actually got any microfilters or an ADSL router yet ... stunning!
no phones, no internet til monday when my DSLsource order comes in. Oh and thats only if the credit card clears!
I'd also like to use this moment to introduce a nice new term "f*cktard" which is a shortening of f*cking retards and describes BT's wonderful informational policy down to a uniquely crap level of detail.
/me bangs his head on the f-ing wall.

perhaps yoy could change the term merely to BTard due to BT's level of incompetence being widely known and acknowledged?

BT suck.
BT openworld = BTbrocken world
BT suck, they need to get their act together and stop being 100 diffrent companies, go back to being centralised! i dont like phoning 3 diffrent parts of BT to ask a question, i like "the BT helpdesk" not the "line help desk" "internet helpdesk" etc...
FFS BT get it sorted

HHmm
I changed from homehighway ISDN to Btopenworld ADSL and i didnt have a prob at all they gave me a date for isntallation i ran erm and asked for earlier date, which they did, and i aint had a prob since, apart from when they were upgrading the gateways and then i didnt have major lag just a bit.
Guess i must be one of the lucky ones.

Nowt wrong with Southampton biatch.
BT are great at facking ADSL up here, I only waited 7 months to get my line put in, and then it only took 3 weeks to actually get the friggin account working (Yes their clever admin put the expiry date the same as the start date, so it ran out immediately - it took them weeks to realise). Then they tried to charge me for the time that I had the line while I was waiting for them to sort it.
Bear in mind I already had 2 NTL phone lines, I wasn't about to start paying for a broken BT one aswell. They Are BTARDS for sure.
I was more stressed during that incident than ne other time in my life. (And I was in the forces during the Gulf War)

yes I have to agree BT are a bit dense, one time they came to my house to look at an ISDN fault becuase there was no service light, they claimed it was because the unit was not plugged in (which is not the case it only needs to be plugged in for the second analog chan), anyways the dickheads just went and un plugged my pc to plug the unit it so I lost my downloads in morpheous some 3Gbs worth on isdn takes ages to download. So I wasnt best happy there. Also when they came to install adsl they never gave us a date, they just turned up when I was at work, luckly my dad was in so let em in.
