Im looking for a good headset microphone for use at i10 and Rodger Wilco at home. It must have all of the following:
1. COMFORTABLE!!!!!!!! I cannot stress this enough, if im going to be wearing it for 82hrs and its uncomfortable then its gonna piss me off.
2. Good Earpeices! 1 on each side, although if you know of 1 with a single earpeice then post it anyway.
3. Good Microphone! People must be able to hear me and not a crackeling noise like the 1 i have atm.
If u have/have had/have seen anything like this then post it here, thanx to anyone that does :)

When u click it it comes up with
Page Not Found in big orange letters. Also when u look at the site under - http://www.plantronics.com - there is no link to the HS1.
Or is this just me being dumb?!? :)

They have in fact changed the names. The equivalent to the HS-1 is the Audio 90.

I just bought myself some LS1's today and there not bad. Comfy lets u turn mic on an off and has a sound control bit. Not as good sound quality as the HS1's I dont think.

They have plantronics headsets with mics on offer at pc world at the moment there about 12 quid, which i thought was quite good. The only bad thing about them is that you have to go to pc world to buy um.

I used a ser of plantronics, from PC world ( 25 quid at the time ) - which are almost exactly the same as the M$ ones from the game voice, but has a lot longer lead, a volume control, and is slighly better made...
( more expensive version of the same thing )
and
senheiser (sic) MD-50's wich are ultra confortable closed 'phones, but don't have a mic.. these are bloody expensive.. 100+ quid..

I suggest the sennheiser headset.
Cant remember the product number tho, but those plantronics sounds like someone is beating a bake bean tin...
then again im used to Sennheiser HD25 + Beyer DT100s :p: ... I use sennheiser HD500 for LANs as they dont hurt your head after ages and are enclosed to keep the screaming CS pe0ns out.

At i9 i spilt a pint of beamish black over them (over the headset and the mic part) and they still work with no problems! :D

I seen some also in pc world when i bought my cheap ones that were USB but they were about 70 quid, sod that just for some head phones i'd hardly use.

Plantronics do USB headsets, but they're not cheap! The quality is superb though.

I have a lovely set of senheisser HD25's (I managed to pick up 8 pairs for £40! but I sold the rest) which do not go anywhere near Lan's. these work with a desktop Microphone.
For Lans I have a set of Plantronics LS1 which are Light, comfy, open backed (so I can hear if someone is shouting at me), and are approx £25 a pair retail. I have also found a cheap source for these and I am looking into doing a bulk buy for I10 (should be able to get them down to £10 a pair).
