Message from Exegesis... he's deployed right now so I'm posting on his behalf.
Looking for a way to bypass a very strict proxy server. If anyone has information on a proxy bypass that is not already blocked, it would be much appreciated

Depending on how it is setup, if the proxy server is the default gateway, you can try specifing the router as the default gateway this in theory should bypass the proxy, but it does depend on how it is all setup

No, not Iraq this time. Qatar. Much nicer. Right now he's drinking whiskey and smoking a cigar, so can't be that bad.

If you've got access to another machine outside the network, you could set up an ssh tunnel. It's a long shot though...

Afaik, the proxy he`ll be hitting is the "country" proxy.... its a bit like the great firewall of china. Doesnt let a lot through.
I dont think theres a simple way to bypass it as they lock a lot down.

The other option is to set up an SSH tunnel with YOUR computer as the receiving end.
http://www.buzzsurf.com/surfatwork/ has some info about how to go about setting it up.

Assuming they let SSH through.
And if they're running a layer-7 firewall, or packet shaping, different ports won't help either.
