Oh boy! Xbox-like achievements for ANOTHER game

If you bother to actually read though them (you didn't), you'd realise it's more like a journal of notable events within the game. Sure, you can look at it as a competition but pfft.

It should be like City of Heroes/Villains - I log in... "you have achieved blah blah blah!" I remember logging in once and getting like 6-10 new achievements :\

Don't worry andy closing gap isnt having a go at WoW; he's having a go at XBoxs. If they had called them trophies instead of acheivements his post would of read "Sony's PS3 inspires trophy system in WoW". Followed by some random spiel about how great the Ps3 is because WoW/Blizzard copied it.

I think achievements in WoW is a great thing to add. It gives people something else to go for, a bit more of a fun element to the game. However, there is a risk (especially in WoW) people will get fanatical about them. I imagine in Battleground people shouting at each other "LEAVE THAT MAGE, I NEED HIM FOR MY ACHIEVEMENT!" :D

yay half the achievements I have already! Although apparently I haven't fully discovered Terrokar forrest or Hellfire Peninsuila :o

I have about 805 achievement points logging into beta fresh (minimum northrend exploration/questing).

I dislike consoles as a whole apart from the Nintendo 64 (and classic consoles), so i doubt that would happen Tsunami. Although i'd do it just to annoy the Chavs who own an Xbox 360. :awesome:

Because people actually do that?! Sorry but i don't give two tosses about my Steam achievements, i don't go looking at others and think to myself; "Oh, he hasn't got any achievements in TF2. Haha, L2P nub".
