My BF2+SF box gathers dust so does 2142 for that matter and this patch doesnt even tempt me from cleaning that dust off.

I am tempted to play again, had so much fun with a buddy on TS in a heli. Its great if you are vagually skilled at it.

one of the reason is quit it the game a LONG time ago...

Tank and chopper whores who would TK to get what they wanted cose they could not play as anything else...

tbh, i hope for battlefield3 they don't keep on adding gimicks to make it 'better'. all they need to do is just keep up with the jones' and not f'k it up and it'll sell

It's standard EA tactics, they need to regenerate interest in BF for their new game BF Bad Company. To do this, they release a "long overdue" patch for an older game (BF2), which encourages you to reinstall it, patch it and give it a go. You play it, enjoy it again, and then go buy BF:BC forgetting why you stopped playing BF2 in the first place.

They done exactly the same with C&C Generals, it went for months/years without a needed patch to stop cheating. Then a month or two before C&C 3 came out, generals was patched. :/
