Now we've got UTDC up and running again, we can provide proof of bad doing to name and shame. As we thought, there are several that have been getting on.

Anyone found with cheats will be posted here, along with their IP and any nick or IP we can trace them to, hostnames, their country and what servers they've played or attempted to play on.

Note: These are people who *definately* have major cheats installed which spoil the enjoyment of the game for others and will not be unbanned. We cannot say they used the cheats every time they played.

If you recognise a nick, don't automatically assume it's the nick of a regular player - nicks get stolen too. We can check if you're unsure - just ask.

The format used will be NICK / IP in subject.

UTDC log first, followed by servers, nicks, ips etc associated with the cheater.

Wonders what the legal aspect is on the posting of IP addresses in public without owners consent . You ask me this might be dangerous water . If players get hacked and it points back to the issue of the IP# being made public by someone it's hard to say what happens . You might want to look into the legal aspect of this it might be nothing but you never know .

non issue, perfectly legal to do so over here.

Very common practice across all the anti cheat sites. For many months I've been spending time getting ban information about them and banning cheaters here. Without IP's there would be no way of sharing bans between trusted sources.

IP's aren't private. If they were the internet would not work.

We're also getting automatic screenshots of the the cheats in action now which prove beyond any doubt these logs are accurate and that these people were not using any skill.

Might want to read this as it was what made me ask .

and as that article states, theres no laws governing it yet.......

The flipside of course is that what the players are doing is also a grey area, as technically they are violating the terms of which the software is used for.

Neither of the above either displaying ip addresses or using hacks violating the games EULA would likely stand up in court. If the eventually ever occured then they would be hit by counter claims violating both our terms of service and potentially the games End User License Agreement.

So as I said, non issue.
