PS3 question

I am thinking about getting a PS3 and heard rumors that you can attach it to a PC monitor any truth in this?

I wire mine up to my monitor used a HDMI > DVI cable. however you wont get audio so you'll need to run it to a seperate amplifier or speaker setup

That's what mine looks at 1080p

I run the audio using the AV Multi Out cable, used a male to female speaker jack adaptor and just plugged it into my PC speakers. Then in the PS3 settings you tell it to do digital video (HDMI) and analog audio (AV Multi Out). Works a treat for me :)

So would it work on my monitor i have a HP L1955

If not any suggestions on new monitors as i am getting a 2nd shortly anyway

Do a search on the web to see if it supports it :) If not then I know my dell 24" supports it but I don't know about other makes.

I've got my 22" wide screen dell screen hooked up via HDMI to DVI adapter and it works fine.
