Known to us as BIG_Ted. IP's in 98.194 and 98.195. subnets. Prefers deck-16 servers.
New nick and ip on each start.
Aimbotting, quite obvious.

Blatantly aimbotting.

Does the Anth-Checker software not always pick up on Aimbotters? Was playing Insta TDM just now for the first time in ages, and unfortunately most of the games were ruined by an Aimbotter. Everyone was calling for Admins, but no response, (it is early after all), and this guy was just taking the p*ss, delighting himself in the fact he was cheating and there was nothing any of us could do about it. Ganzor was his name.

The other day I reported a suspicious player in the chat channel, and was told that several admins had specced him and decided he was just good. Fair enough, but is speccing the only way to catch these low-life cheaters sometimes?

No. Unfortunately there is no reliable anti-cheat software and although our systems keep out the majority, there are still ones that get through. For some reason we've had quite a big increase over the past few weeks and are currently catching 1 or 2 new ones a day.

We're spending a lot of time checking these out, and players can help by calling for an admin when somebody is obviously cheating.

Remember guys, say "!admin I think NICK is botting" gives us enough information to either deal with it then and there, flag the player for future checking if they switch it off or review the logs later and take a judgement call. Ranting and insulting them just gives them the attention they want.

Yeah, I know. Once I called the Admins, everyone else did as well, loads and loads, and the Aimbotter even started to do the same, just to rub salt in our wounds. So I apologise if you were spammed with !Admin requests. :roll:

I only happened to see one of these botters. After an admin call (or two :)) , admins 'dealt' with him after 'speccing' for a while. I suppose that with slayer or insta, it can take a full game or more to be really sure it's a real cheater, especially if the player also has good skills (aim & moves). I guess admins want to be 100% sure before accusing someone. So be patient...

BTW, I must say that there is also some increase in language abuses these days. Sometimes in french (shame on my 'first half' fellow citizens) or Italian (shame on my other 'half' fellow citizens). It's not always easy to report...

I find with Insta it's easy to tell straight away, but not so much with Binslayer or regular DM.

You're right. As there is a delay between insta shots, it might be easier to tell that it's the first shot that hits. 1-0 for you. :)

Serial_Killer, on DM#9 Binslayer at the moment, have called Admins, he's totally ruining the server.

EDIT: Thanks for dealing with him Flash. He was going on about "You can't kick me, I've got an Anti-Ban hack for that!" What a goober!

Done on CTF2 - although I see you're playing on DM12 at the moment anyway so I guess you found a way.

Edit: Removed again, either that or Pure 7G kills the BP skins even when specifically allowed.
