It's unlikely that people will swap.

You are better off selling these things off and then getting the rest of the funds some other way.

like wise, sorry no. I would consider selling my Ibook to fund a newer mac, but I couldnt exchange it for a PC.

At the mo I cant afford the upgrade so my iccle mac is staying where it is, and will even be treated to a new battery!

a) Macs won't solve all your problems
b) Just run osx under vmware if you are really that desperate

He wants a Macbook. Why question what he wants?

Back on topic..

I'm in the market for an Xbox360.

Can I get more information like how long you've had it? which model it is, HDD size, what cables you get with it, whether you still have reciept, if its still under warrenty etc.

Thanks.

Because assuming you were buying one new you could get the exact same spec in a PC for £500 less and still run OSX on it. Not only that but he already has the PC!

In the US the difference in price between Apple notebooks and PC notebooks is far less so it is a choice. Here IMO you would have to be crazy or hugely vain to buy a mac notebook (Apple haven't overpriced their desktops so much so this doesn't apply to them). How can you possibly justify £500 for a shinier case?

Personally I justified it a few years ago by going for its standardised build using known components that the OS is written around, as apposed to windows which has to operate on so many different manufacturers bits of kit, in so many combinations that problems commonly arrise.... that and I wanted a sexy looking laptop I can leave out in the living room looking pretty.

The situation may well have been different then, I certainly didn't mean to offend anyone who has already bought one. Its just when people like Acer can offer the exact same components as Apple at a fraction of the cost it really shows up how cheeky Apple are being with their markups.

Find me a acer with the build quality, casing, illuminated keyboard, and a trackpad that doesn't feel like im rubbing my finger on a sticky plastic slab :D:

I 100% agree you can get the same spec laptop as an apple but at the end of a day its a laptop.. its portable and i rate build quality and portability over price since i dont have to sorry about **** flying off as soon as i move it :p

My PBG4 has traveled all over the place with me for the past 3-4 years and the worst damage its sustained is a few dents and that was from some pretty major drops of the entire lappy and some knocks.

My grudge with other brand laptops is they are ****ing useless 99% of the time for doing what a laptop is ment to do. I have a ASUS X50 that burns my balls off and has 4 feet sticking into my leg?? WHAT. and i cant see what the **** i am typing in the dark? Its useless for anywhere other than on a desk.
