Excellent, I did hear rumours that PC Gamer was thinking about setting up a LAN Party... It should be intresting :)
Interesting news. I just wonder how popular it's likely to be only a month from i34.

considering theres a fair amount of people on the waiting list for i34 it might do okay :)

It should be fairly popular, wait until the prizes are announced! Plus it's going to be advertised pretty heavily indeed across all of Future's UK magazines so it's going to reach a huge audience.

My best advice would be lurk on the PCGamer's official website.
Sorry, just had visions of Butlins coming into my head again. Such an ace idea what with the accomodation options but struggled so badly. I wish it every sucess, but i know i series would always be my first choice :)

Smart move contracting Multiplay out to do it for them, a 500 person first event would have been very eventful!

The difference here is that there is a hell of a lot more time to get this ready than there was for ButtLAN plus there is still a lot of accommodation at Stoneliegh

So ive just been advised that Case / Monitor stickers haven't been given out for this Lan?
Assuming Multiplay ARE running this lan on behalf of PC Gamer, I see they haven't taken on board the security issues from M Festival.
Well done. Nail down that coffin.

As far as i am aware, this is NOT a Multiplay lan. Multiplay had nothing to do with the organising of it, have nothing to do with the running of, they're just there to assist and help out.
If you have any issues, you should direct it to PC Gamer, not wah on the MPUK forums.
This is in no way an official response, as i do not work for MPUK, i just think you're being a bit harsh.

There not letting any PCs out the building not even with your own. Pretty good security imo.

So ive just been advised...
So, from this, I can only assume you're not at the event, as such can't really comment and are just posting to stir up trouble. Nice attitude.

And without has done the zero amount of research needed to back up his claims.
Great effort! If you have a question, you can just ask you know.
"Is it true that the PC Gamer event isnt issuing security badges? I heard this from a friend and just wanted to confirm it, and if so, ask why?"

And you still haven't explained your "Fail." comment. So you just look like a complete troll with no point to make. Either make a constructive arguement, or don't post.

the funny thing is i wasn't talking about the staff...... more of the point that the tournament at the PCG is a "epic fail" by no teams there.. not the staff
was funny watching the admins put there dick between there legs and go defensive mode

Oh my, how silly of the admins and EVERYBODY ELSE not to understand what you meant when you posted a one word reply. That one word was OBVIOUSLY meant to mean the lack of teams was fail, and NOT anything else!
Gosh, silly us!

It seemed fairly full to me...
Don't use the seating plan as a measure of this. it was a LOT fuller than it showed.

Limited amounts of cod4 kiddies sounds good to me.

Final total for CoD4 was indeed 8 teams, but it was a smaller LAN and it produced some great matches, as did the CSS and TF2 tournaments.

I was there Sunday and it reminded me of the better days of the I-Series when it was 3-500 people on ground floor of Newbury grand stand alone.
Not sure why people insist tournaments need to be huge to be entertaining, all the finals were good, especially the TF2 one.
