Just recently got a PS3 and I have been looking around for a VGA cable as I like to play on a monitor but I cannot find one. Does anyone know if there is one available and if so where to find it?

Yep, Amazon have it Amazon link (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Playstation-Nintendo-Monitor-Cable-Lead/dp/B0015MISAG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1209333756&sr=8-1) for £23. Play Asia Play Asia link (http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-zp-49-en-15-vga-70-2jp6.html) also have it a little cheaper, but you might get hit on shipping charges with them.
Not tried it myself as I don't hook up to a monitor.

Mines hooked up to my monitor, if you have a dvi port then use a dvi to hdmi connector :) but make sure your monitor is capable of running it. Apparently vga cables aren't very good with the PS3 when hooked up to a monitor, but using dvi mine is crisp and runs at 1080p.

I was indeed :p
Yeah that's what I'm running, HDMI to DVI, I was going to order a switcher box so I can easily switch between the two on the monitor but £140 + vat! for a fkin switcher box!
ScottehGT4 i was goin do this when i get a PS3, i could use componet but the 2407 i have will only go up to 1080i on this :(

What he said ^^^ :p
Component on the monitors looks poor, hdmi to dvi is the best way of doing it. If a little annoying with having to swap the cable with the pc one unless you want to fork out the previously mentioned amount of money for a switcher box.

goes up to 1920x1440 so should be able to deal with 1080p.

if you are willing to take a punt, at less than 15 quid I would.

Nice one cabe :) I've sent them a question asking if it will handle 1080p, should think it will but some do and some don't, best to check :)
As for that 15 quid one....I'm pretty sure that won't lol, might be worth a try though :D
