TM Nations Forever = Free - But limited to stadium tracks
TM United Forever = Pay for - All zones

Both completely stand alone games, dont need any previous version of TM.

the new release is so that united players can play with nations players on the same servers. it's also a standalone install, not an upgrade so you can just install and go, no copy protection at all in this release (At last)

Nadeo made a fix for it but you have to have a Trackmania Original CD, not a PowerUp or plain Trackmania CD.

any idea how to get this working with a xbox 360 controller? Got the drivers and it works in other games but can't seem to map the buttons in trackmania's controls.

it should 'just work'. one thing i found with mine is that because it's wireless, it has to be on and synced with the dongle before you launch the game (any game) or it won't see it

The original trackmania works fine in Vista. You need to launch the game directly, NOT through the launcher. If you do that, the game works fine.

oh thats what i haven't done - cheers freelaner completely forgot to sync it :D - lol explains why my 360 has been turning itself on in my bedroom mysteriously :D hehe
