Can you please make sure you don't do an extension of this offer.

Why you ask? It's extremely upsetting for some people to chuck cash out the door early on like we do only to hear it gets extended for another month or so which meant we could have held on to our cash for a little bit longer.

Get a part time job then Shazz, I hear McDonalds pays well. Don't just rely on your student loan to pay for things you want (eg lans) rather than things you need (eg a roof over your head / food)

I think thats a bit harsh.. i mean i have only just been able to get it in for pay day this month, if i couldnt of budgeted it in (im well into overdraft) i would have waited till Pay day to help me pay off my LAN fees that sent me into Overdraft. I do believe extensions are a good thing for people who cannot afford to pay at all (especially those without an overdraft facility Rasta.) And im a Student as well.

but thats the point gumpster

youve just stretched and struggled to pay as have i and many others cos multiplay have given a very short period of time to organise and pay up when the event is 5 months away. if youve put yourself up turd creek like many of us have and then 11th April comes and they go "oh another month for you" like they did last time then its RAGE time

i couldnt believe they did this last time especially because they didnt give much time before xmas. i spend my money that should have gone to better presents to find just before xmas they extended it.

Just give a longer period from the start lol

D3TH - I would ring EMA and complain if I was you.... they can;t do that unless you haven't been attending in which case you won't get it at all.

They aren't allowed to withhold it and then pay it all in one go without a very valid reason, so phone EMA direct and complain about them

It's not as if you don't know we launch an early bird scheme after each event and that time is limited. As it stands now we've have over 400 people pay within 1 week. We could easily end up with half the LAN getting the discount at this rate... that's a lot of £16 discounts :p

So long and short of it... 11 April is a hard cut off for the promo. Don't worry if you miss it though, as we will roll straight into full price sales so you'll still be able to get a ticket... assuming there are any left by then :p

i still think there should be a student discount........ i think you get alot more people going to the i-series if there is a discount involved, i have always tried to get my mates to go but £80 is steep for 4 days.. when other LANS are like £20 for 4 days???

but i have to admit...... £80 is worth it.. and i have no problem paying it... it just physically having the money lol thats why i depend on the discount

TOPTOTTY= i will be ringing them tomorrow morning for that... our head of year is lazy and all he has to do is click on a box each week, he keeps saying he will do it eventually but he never gets round to it........

I don't expect getting the bums on seats is a problem, therefore they wouldn't be getting more people to attend the LAN (as numbers are limmited)

As for using EMA to pay for LAN.... Tut Tut... As is the same for student loans. They are to pay for books, equiptment, travel costs etc.

I appreciate students don't have that much spare cash but why should you get into i34 for less than I do simply because you're a student? Sorry if I sound harsh but look at it the other way around - it'd basically be a surcharge on everyone who's not a student.

Can't see it ever happening anyway tbh as far too many of the attendees will be students.

Lucky my i-series ticket is funded by Sainsburys Pay Packets they wave at me!

My loan goes towards accomodation, and any spare (which usually isnt) will go towards a book or two.

maybe they should run a non refundable deposit?? scheme.. like i don't know

umm pay £30 for your place and if you don't cough up the dough within 1 month of the offer going your place is gone plus your deposit??

multiplay get more money because they be re selling seats which would normally just stay empty.

and they get happy punters????

good point but sometimes people can't make it in the end...... so maybe in stead of taking all there money from the guy who paid for it.. and couldn't make it due to lets say "family emergency"

the guy can report it in the multiplay and he will get all his money except his £30 deposit..... but then a guy on the waiting list will get his seast plus multiplay get that guys money aswell

so instead of £80 and a empty seat

multiplay could get £30 + £80 + a filled seat?

lol this is me just thinking lol... i know the plan is complete bull****

lets say i buy a product that works and is fit for a purpose but due to a family emergency i can pay the bill so i send it back and they charge me a restocking fee and get to resell the product.

OMG its a business making money, thats life.
