Pure reason being i was bored and after sitting next to the video playing the taster in the reception, think i know the place inside and out without actually going there. Enjoy

No thats where the hog roast and similar external stuffs will happen.
The 4x4 is much further away than the "core" facilities.

Whiteknight's right, the 4x4 is well out the way from the hotel thankfully. The camping area looks strange as on this picture theres 2 marquees on here, took me a little while to realise that. Also made the picture bigger as it was a little small.

We're up for another site visit on Weds next week, so should be able to start getting down to detail like this on an official event sitemap soon. Many thanks to becky for doing this though... it really does help give people an initial idea of where the main stuff is all located.
The paintball and 4x4 are miles away. It really is a huge site ;)

An important observation:
WHERE'S THE BAR AREA?
Practicing for the boat race requires a very delicate environment..

To the right of the camp site are some buildings, possible homes? Could this present issues to noise on the camping area?

A) i think they are just offices and things...
B) there shouldnt be any *noise* in the camping area anyway.. STFU when people are trying to sleep FFS.

Don't forget with that map though that it's not the conventional way round. For some reason in their ultimate wisdom they chose West to be at the top and North to the right so it needs rotating 90 degrees anticlockwise !!!

Mr E man - Will have a look and will ask one of the MPUK staff to see if we will be using them and up dating the map as its appropriate
Dav3y - hmm i took it off that thread I linked to with in the OP. Will have a look and may put a compass point on there so people have an idea of the way around.

I'm a little confused what map we're talking about now, but your one was just fine ;) I can't think for the life of me why Stoneleigh would choose to have a map produced in an unconventional orientation though. I guess it probably doesn't really matter at the end of the day.
Becky

Yes I see what you mean now, it was Stoneleighs own map which had the strange orientation. Never mind :D. Looking at the places of toliets on that one shows that one of the buildings outside the Hostel are toliets, therefore local to the camping grounds but not sure if that are showers as well so wont change that until we get confirmed locations.

should be goodfun this time round.
my only request is that can multiplay bulid a giant wind wall around the area, because it was hell going outside to the car and tent in i33, cant remember much as most of the time was spent with my hair in my face from the wind :p
it made it really cold at night, stayed up the last two nights as to avoid the sevear cold in the tent, mind you didnt help that i forgot my coat at home, only had my hoodie and a couple of t-shirts
mucho appraciation :awesome:

all the fields to the right of the camping area are they like extra camping space or are they not part of Stoneleigh? just interested to know what they are for and if they will be used.

where are the bars? :)

Nope, not the same distance at all. The hostel is about the same walk as the Racecourse entrance (the one with the security lodge) to the Berkshire stand doors at a rough guesstimate.
What am I missing based on the above picture (or is "outdoor activities" not where the paintball is).

whats the camping situation!! thats not a lot of camping space!!
are there gona be a few more areas opend up for camping?? i know my clan is bringing 44 people!!

I think the size is deceptive.
On my monitor, the camping space is 90mm by 30mm and between the two buildings a row of 7 cars is 10mm by 3mm.
This means that the camping area can fit approximately 5,670 cars on it. Your average 2 man tent is around the same physical space as an average car, so there is space for sleeping for over 11,000 people and thats in the BYOC camping area!!
You could, just about, have every BYOC bring their own car and tent and put all of it on the camping area and still have space left over.

yeh fair enough!! hopefully there is enough room if not were buggerd!!

From the looks of the map the area is reasonably well protected from the wind, not exposed like at Newbury.

Think of it this way, the camping area is almost twice as long as the Exhibition areas and as I posted earler, in the picture there are marquees on there which (hopefully) wont be there this time.
Exercise at a lan not catered for, SHOCKER :D

I think your maths is deceptive. I get a total of 630 cars, not 5670 with your figures.

Yeah your right! Not sure where he got that number from :p
Now the camping space is looking a little more worrying :S

Its been about 13 years since I last camped at stoneleigh but there is a vast amount of space for it.
Beside whats been marked off there is also all this space.

Which may or may not bee available but I think wizzo pretty much put it in well the initial FAQ that they would run out of BOYC and power spaces before camping space. There are also external car parks or the grassed "units" and I think the park refer to them can be opened up for additional parking
And what ever happened to laying some coats on the floor
