View Full Version : Box O Win Partitions

This is mainly aimed towards the admins and all of the MPUK staff.

At i34 would we be able to use desk partitions in order to create that box-y feeling that we all know and love???

If you mean something like the black partition boards we've used on the ground floor in the Grandstand, the answer is probably no.

Nope. It will all be in one big room.

im not on about partitions that start at floor level and go up, ones that sit on the desk and will not block walkways

Yeah, let these guys have their partition. That way, when we play football with our balls again (sexual innuendo? who knows), you'll never know which one of us 'accidentally' kicks a ball at you! :awesome:

I play WoW at endgame level, and understand what a 5 man clutch is. Don't make presumptions about people before you meet them ;)

It's not even remotely like that at Dreamhack. The 'all-in-one-hall' atmosphere is actually pretty good, it works well :):

:wss: - also, having a main stage you can look at while at your desk works very well, everyone feels part of the lan.

The box is very social. Considerably more social than the rest of the LAN when you exclude Clans.

In fact, I'd go as far as saying that Box'o'Win@i33 was the best social LAN I've been to.

Stop moaning because the box doesn't want to be social with other people just getting drunk and voming everywhere and people not used to aiming without Aimbot in the toilets.

The only reason we moved from the ut sedction was too many css guys but the good thing about the box was the social part i do miss the ut section and the admins we had fun. but we have a lot of fun in the box .. i was hoping to be sitting in the fps section but we are at the end in the orange section to keep away from the css section :)

i expect when we are back at newbury for the small lans we try and get a box we had 42 last time 2 box's :0

The man has a point, i wasn't sat in there but the times I visited Evilbeanman and the generally leet people up there I had great fun...I think the 'Corner o win' will be less epic tbh. Whilst this new place looks great the lack of boxes worries me :/

However, I am disappointed at the lack of lifts for shenanigans this time round.

You may however, be seeing certain travellers during your stay...

22 in a box of win.

22 x 64 (early bird discount) = £1408

You realise you could hire a village hall and have your own lan quite easily for this price, with money left over for a lot of beer.

Not that I want to disuade you from coming to an iseries of course, but perhaps if you want your own little social lan....have one and stop complaining about the big lan you choose to come to :)

Actually, if people can provide money for such a task I will be repairing the RC plane for the very task of flying around the place with banners. This will either make it a Wizzo-plane, or just the lolplane o' win thanks to a multitude of different attachable paper banners, once I learn how to attach them without causing any harm to the plane with all the bombing/landing gear attached to its frail polystyrene body.

Once I learn how to fly it of course. :awesome:

RC Plane sounds like a bad idea. It could easily crash land into things knocking drinks into computers etc.

The blimp on the other hand was neutrally boyant. So wouldnt come crashing to the ground if it lost power, or the pilot got out of range.

Never said I was flying it inside, did I? ;-) But yes, that is true, however I doubt a block of polystyrene would seriously damage anything. However, judging by the amount of crap usually on my desk at an i-series, it doesn't take much to send a cake flying.

There needs to be i34 Barrel Rolling however. :v

Just a bad idea tbh.

Which is what I meant by the entire cake scenario, so inside is a bad idea. I may just fly it around outside however, if I bother to get it repaired.

That, and Wizzo Blimp's getting bombed. :D:
