I honestly cant see it being to great, from watching the video and sitting down in the tent I felt it was something to get more people interested in attending lan and that could possible be overly expensive and very busy as well as not the best of paint balling experiences.
Now I know its very early stages and its great to have all this other stuff available but I'd love to hear more information and other peoples views.

I dunno, until you try it, how do you really know it wouldnt work?. If anything I'd say the 4x4 track was unnessecary but I dunno, it might float some people's boats.
I remember the lan parties of old, when turning up for EAS involved getting a large group together and heading off to the bowling alley whilst the venue was still being setup. Hopefully with all these facilities it will bring back some of that.
The thing is it's great that all these extra facilities are onsite, if you or your clan wants to do some paintballing, no problem, short walk, you're there. No major hassles arranging it off site, or getting people there. As for the increase costs? the ticket prices are the same, the facilities are there to use if you want to pay for them (I'm guessing they are extra and not included in the ticket).
To be honest, the addition of the onsite hotel + hostel would tempt me to come back. Having a decent place to sleep & shower available in walking distance of the venue makes it very tempting indeed. :):

These are already on site at stoneleigh and not something we are drafting in for the event... ie they come with the venue.

Can we bring our own Airsoft guns if we have them? I know there is a big thing about having licenses with them now but i do have a license and have my own guns.
Maybe Airsoft vs Paintball????? :D:

Although i quite like paintballing...i go to a LAN, to LAN... if i wanted to paintball i'd spend £20 and go to my local site.
With airsoft (I own a few myself) there will always be the problem about the paintballers not taking hits, along with no way it being allowed ;).
However i do like the option of proper places to sleep such as the hostel.

From that short video it looks like its just a feild with a tree - is the paintball venue a actual real paintball site or run by whoever? got a link?
Run by Co2 or Air?, How much £ per day/play?, how much per paintballs? (some sites cost £30 for 500 + £15 for entry = after all of i34 = expensive)
Im sure more questions and answers will come it will clear up
but from what i saw of that video - looks like a fail :P

You will probably find its a speedball arena with inflatable obstacles for cover. Easy up-easy down and doesnt need much space.
BTW I would prefer an airsoft hit to bast paintball shot That knocked me off my feet. My mates marker (1 shot) chronied over 500fps and he used slightly frozen paint :-(
