Who here has purchased Frontlines?

Hi Guys,
After Mendosa got the game this weekend, I went out and purchased it, and i must say it is very entertaining, the action is fast passed and your always in the middle of it!
You soon get drawn into the game and you forget all the bad press the beta got, however after a few hours playing the game random crashes out on me, so some of those bugs from the beta are still present.
If Kaos Studios can work out these bugs then Frontlines has the ability to be a very entertaining game offline and online.
Overall a very good game but still seems incomplete I would like more screen resolutions and bug fixes, but as Kaos were very quick with the first patch I hope to see a further patch soon with these issues fixed.

So who here has gone out and got the game? What are your thoughts and feelings on it?

i have it and its fun, i havnt had any problems with crashes, and Hg have u upgraded to the 1.01 patch that has come out ?

yep got 1.01, im playing it on my Laptop atm, but will install on my pc once i get home from lan

Been playing it a fair bit, cheap game aswell £20 on gameplay and 24 in tesco's. worth the money, been lucky not had any crashes or problems yet.

Current setup I use is sniper and drone tech (love the drones)

Looks Like issue i was having with my laptop was with a bad HDD :( being returend 2moz.

Installed it on my machine at home have everything on high @ 1920x1200 and its soo shinny, but game world freeze every couple of mins, turns out theres a bug with Nvidia 8800 series cards and in order to play the game u need to turn the foilage off, done this and all is ok.

Would buy it if it wasn't for steam wanting an extortianate $57!! Steam need to tell developers to drop the price of new releases via steam compared to store price.

yep, Mendosa has the same card as me an 8800GT but he hasnt told me if he had these issues, but looking on the net alot of 8800 series card users had had this issue and the developers are aware of it, hopefully a patch will be out soon to fix this but its no issue really just disable it and bamn away you go

I bought it and had a quick play last night - until the sporadic freezing kicked in, as mentioned. It was late, so I haven't investigated the problem too much yet - I do have a 8800GTS 512 though. I'll try turning off the foliage and see how that goes tonight.

It seemed like it didn't like Vista though - there was a hotfix for it put up last night and that seemed to sort it.

i like the game (idea and game play) but the actually game itself runs like crap, crashes on me and online play lags every minute

Inferno have you updated? the patch seemed to fix ALOT.
and if it crashes try turning the foliage off

I've got it, only played Single Player so far, and tbh I'm a little disappointed. Will keep going at it though.

Waiting for KAOS to release decent server code and then BFB will be hosting a server for it.

I must say that
why have they released this game with so many bugs?
the online browser is useless!
there should be a law against this because u would not buy a shirt that was taty and not stitched correctly
sounds to me like they where skint / broke and thought hell lets release it and we will fix it later
i have never liked thq from the snes days they release utter crap and dont care i am a battlefield hardcore and have all the originals but this is a shambolic affair it lloks like they got the UT engine and moded it and dont know how to fix it
on a serious note KAOS u have a good product but you cannot rob people like this you must have test players you must know it wasnt right i looked forward to this game and now it is a coaster
keep up the good work cant wait for the next kaos or thq release
