I don't care if loads of people use this as an excuse, it is the truth...also another friend got banned for the same thing who was playing at the time apparently, but not a stupidly long permanent ban.

it was not me, so i think i should be unbanned... i dont sit there like a hawk watching everything people do when they use the computer. Permanent ban for such silly things is ridiculous.

I have also apoligized... which everyone else on this forum gets a ban reduce :/

It's always the brother or friend.
The answer to that is to not let them play on your pc. Then if you get banned it's your own fault

it does say quite clearly in the rules for the TF2 servers that racism is a permanent instant ban.

Infact it's like that for most if not all mpuk servers.

Hi,

As stated by others, we operate an instant permanent ban. This is usually placed if someone repeatedly is offensive, and attempts to get around the word filter.

My personal view on this quote..

If you know other people were doing it, you were there (watching if not playing) so you should of stopped, or stopped your friend. As a side note, as mentioned above it is dependant on the repetition / attempts to avoid filtering.

For us to do anything with your request, will require your steam ID please.
A senior member of the Admin team will look into this once we have that information.

my friend told me what happened, and the other who got banned was another friend. They where just pratting about acting like the '50 cent stereotype'

Would be interesting to see server logs, as they dont lie. Still afraid it is your responsibility as to who plays and what is played. Also to remember that what may seem like messing around to you could really offend someone else. From what you said i guess the N word was involved. (need that pic from southpark now ^_^ )

as i was present when your account was banned for racism of the worst kind - there is no apology that could lift this ban
as we cant make sure who was playing at the time - you or your friend the ban will remain in place - as you should know all the games you own via steam are for your own use only and you take responsibility

the ban will remain in place - that is the final decision

Ive read of peoples bans being reduced to a week on this site? What the hell is with that? People claiming they didnt know what it mean, if thats an excuse that is an excuse...

im not saying remove my ban, but say reduce it to a month or so? im sure permanent ban is not the way to go about these things...i bet the word cracker isnt banned haha!

Of course i have heard this 'phrase' and it actually goes: "Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me."
I just don't understand why you would use it in relation to you being racist on a server. Do you actually realise anything about the history of the "N" word? It may not offend you but it can certainly offend others.

ChickenParmo as Kingpin has said your ban will not be reduced, nor will it be lifted, we have on occasion yes reduced a persons ban, however having seen the logs from when your ID was banned an apology is simply not good enough.
You and your 'friend' will have seen the MOTD whilst joining the server which clearly states racisim is an instant permanent ban, yet your 'friend' continued to be extremely racist.

This behaviour is simply not acceptable and will NOT be tolerated.

No he won't because it's now being closed. :) I have seen the comments that were made on server and there are somethings that simply are not forgiveable. Yes, people sometimes get bans reduced to 1 week on the privisio that they are made aware that any repeat will result in a very permanent ban. However, there are cases where people overstep the mark and the ban does not get removed. This is one such case, the ban stays.
