WiC and Vista64bit Probs

Anyone else get the black screen of death when the game starts which promptly bounces you back to desktop with no error message?

I cant for the life of me get this game to run at all :(:

Ive found in cnc3 theres a permission error in vista x64 where it black screens out of the game for no reason.

firstly try a NO-cd exe patch (there not warez) to see if that can repair the install if its corrupt if not try a repair install.

and also quickly try creating a brand new admin account then running the game from that account without reinstalling that fixed cnc3 for me.

this is taking into account youve disabled desktop composition and the compatibility settings.

Nope sadly it doesn't work. I think this is just yet another example of developers not properly beta testing and bug fixing, especially given how many reports of this happening there are on the net.

Ignore ez64 you will probably get banned from Massgate if you connect using a cd crack.

Have you tried reinstalling it?

no cd patch's are what I use on nearly all my legit games, I often loose CD/DVD's and dont want to enter it everytime I play, THEY ARE COMPLETLY LEGAL unless the game t&c specify against it.

and you will not get your cd-key banned or even warned for using one just a slight inconvience when patching which is weighed out by the hundreds of times not entering cd's.
