We need more admins!

It is simple: We need more admins.
I go almost everyday to play on both servers, custom and original maps, and there are always idiots blocking the path in a tunnel, microphone spamming, abusing snarks, etc.
Also, in the whole time I have been playing on it, I have not yet seen one admin, and I think that it is starting to become a big problem.

1. say admin
2. In console type amx_chat "INSERT MESSAGE HERE"

It's not that simple.

Administrators have power, a lot of power. They have to be trusted to not abuse that power. It is surprisingly taxing to find people who you can completely trust with access, and keep a regular appearance.

It's not a case of "Can I be admin?", "Can I trust you?", "Course you can mate.", "Cool beans, let me go add you on the admin user list.". No. There is a fair size training programme and trial period to be done first, that's assuming the applicant's application is accepted.

I understand that, and I absolutely agree.
It must be hard to find good admins, but maybe you could post on the server some announcement saying that you are looking for admins during certain time of the year or something, hahaha I don't know, I mean I love the Multiplay servers but I can't stand to see them filled with n00bs, and so I'll go apply for admin~

How about some Moderator style users. You know, with only kick/ban access?

Another big problem with applicants is their age. For security and liability reasons, we only take on applicants at least 18 years of age.

I'm not really fond of a moderator style user. I need people who can take on the full duties. I also haven't written any training for a "lite admin". I remember Jolt trying a system like this some years ago, but it was too much hard work.

Hi, just seeing this I've got a mate whos run a Sven Coop server with his cousin for the past 2/3 years and they might be intrested, I'll point them in the direction of that application form.

I have been playing on the servers regularly and I haven't seen much rule-breaking. Maeby I'm just lucky.

But as said earlier, you can contact the admins ingame and it also helps if you are on the IRC - channel while playing on the servers so when you notice something stupid, either type admin ingame or Alt-Tab and inform the opped guys and gals in the channel.

I'll think about posting an application also.

Yeah you can contact admins from in game, that's if there is an admin listening in.

Another problem, is acutally the players themself too.

It's very often that we admins get a admin call and taking us time, from whatever we're doing, to answer it and find that the player either left after 5 seconds or don't answer at all, wich does get very annoying if we get no response.

Aye, I'm not doing too bad. I discovered a LAN in Swindon to play some games of Steam online which must be good thing. I'm just checking out this new steam interface atm. Hopefully I be playing SC 3.0 again sometime today...

I have filled out an application for admin for multiplay SC server. Can someone let me know if you still need admins? I'm 28 years old and a long time player.I work for a security company 40 hour weeks. I'm responsible with secure info, hence the job with a security company. If someone can get back with me that would be great, look forward to hearing from you!
