The only time people get wiped is if the marshall thinks the hit was caused AFTER the opposing player got eliminated.
Delta Force are more expensive, less safe, and less experienced than places such as Skirmish Paintball, Weekend Warriors, etc.

You might have been to delta force site that was crap. I am a assistant manager and have managed other sites when people have gone on hoilday and the staff i have seen have been **** i must say!. but at my site i take great pride in training all my staff the highest of levels and myself check the site/guns everyday to keep everything in tacked. I take great pride in my site and make sure all my customers go away with a smile on there face :D:

Things people dont understand is well that it is not the easy's job in the world. It's hard to keep a eye on 40 people when some kids gone and stuck his gun and the mud so your cleaning it and then you get people coming up to you saying 'i shot him' but we do try....very very hard and this is why i now i send 2-3 people out with every group

Need more marshalls than that usually. about 2 per 10. But the one in Reading really is dire.
Though yes, in the community (When I say community, I'm not that much of a part of it anymore - used to be a Div2 snake monkey) Delta Force is well known for not being all that great. But you do need more than 3 people out with a group normally, unless it's a small group.

I'm correct in thinking you still use CO2 on site?

skirmish > delta force.

I went to a Delta Force near Romsey, and the Skirmish site at Lasham. Skirmash all the way I'm afraid mate.

Sqauggs
5th February 2008, 15:38
romsey site is one of the smallest sites delta has to offer. You might want to try one of the bigger sites like Birmingham (which i will say is one of the best sites in england)

and yes delta force use co2

Jay is coming in march so ask him about it at i33 :)

This is a BAD thing.

Everyone upgraded to air months, maybe a year or two ago. Less breaks, no need to monitor temperature, more shots, more enviromentally friendly, cheaper, and easier to regulate - therefore safer.

Another reason why Skirmish = win.

Sqauggs
5th February 2008, 23:44
It is not cheaper, and easier to regulate. I just work for the chain i dont have a say in what they do. Am just telling people if they ever do go to a site i'll sort them out :)

Predat0r

It is not cheaper

It is with an air compressor, in the long term anyway.

But enough trolling about inferior paintball sites that I have no idea why I'm having a go against now that I don't paintball anymore, I'll be silent now. :awesome:

Went to the one in Denby Dale last year for my mates stag do. Was a **** place full of wasps and the marshals didn't give a rats ass when the groom was shot in the balls at point blank and rolling on the floor in pain.

i always used Bob's site in York, but i've been to Deltaforce before and found it a great experience, me and my team (or should i say former team) used it for a weekend away training outside of our usual hangout.

I think i've been to the one in Oakwood before, some of the staff were complete idiots, but the paintballing was good.

Are there any others you can recommend near Watford?

What kind of deals can you hook us up with?

It is very doubtful whether he can actually hook you up with any deals.

You are better of organising a group off you and your mates and giving a company a call. For example Go Ballastic at Brickets Wood. Nice site, safe and has the tournament version of paintball (which I play) on show.

I personally recommend staying clear of Delta Force and Minisity of Paintball stands full stop. Safety records and the fact they mislead people is very annoying.

Well, the once and only time I have been paintballing, I ended up with big barbed wire slashes up my right leg.

This was at: Wild Park Leisure, Derby. http://www.wildparkleisure.co.uk/

I was running along what I thought was the boundary, under fire... when suddenly my leg was pulled from under me.. I was tangled in some barbed wire that amongst the brush and leaf litter. After being freed, I limped back to the hut, to find slashes that went right the way up to my groin. I have a scar too :o(

I was told by the staff, I shouldn't have been running up there because it was out of bounds... Their maps show the road as being out of bounds, and not to mention if this was out of bounds, why was it not clearly marked as such.

Nerer been to a Delta Force one yet, never needed to as i always used a local company, who are amazing fun. Small paintball site but always have a good laugh there, and generous in organising a discount for the organiser ;)

Yes, some of the marshals there are idiots.. lol but i am not one of them (i hope!) =]

what did you think of the manager there? Hes the best boss you'll ever work for.

As a general rule ticketed sites, ones that take Ministry of Paintball tickets for example should be avoided at all costs.

Word of mouth is a good way of finding out where people have had good days out.

Bricket Wood is good with Yorkie running it.

Mayhem can deal with large groups and does walk-on days.

Though i would always say go to a Skirmish site :D:

He speaks wise words, this man.

You could however, just become brightly coloured in a rainbow of different colours and start playing tourney ball to avoid the entire lack-of-safety thing.

and you believe tourney ball is safer, they should just know better!! :)
