Quick question about achievements

Hello all, I'm hoping you can help me with a little question about the achievements.

I've heard that there should be new achievements, but they haven't appeared in my achievements list.
(I would link to the steam message, but can't until I've made 15 posts apparently. It's from 30th November last year)
Do you need to fully complete the first set before the new set appear?

Not a very exciting question I admit, but many thanks if anyone can help.

The new achievements still haven't been released. They plan to release new ones for the medic initially with a new unlockable weapon. They are supposedly planning to do this for every class eventually. Bearing in mind how long it took them to release TF2 I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for these though. :)

Aha, I see, thanks for the info.

Steam, on 30th Nov 2007 - "New achievement packs will be added to Team Fortress 2 in the coming weeks."

They jumped the gun on that one a bit then.

Yep, typical Valve. When it does eventually get released you'll know straight away simply because every server will be full of medics trying to get all the achievements and hence the new, unlockable weapon. :)

They have added some new ones already, but only on the Xbox iirc.

If you refer to Liv3d's link then you should get the exact timeframe :P

Valve never release stuff when they say they do, although i am waiting on the new achievements as well :P
