1st one this afternoon I spoted Rocky on 2 servers at the same time :confused:
so I checked and our Rocky was on ctf#2 and some one else was using the exact same name on DM#2 I told Rocky who went of to check it out.

and no 2 is I was on Lolman Face tonight at 10.45 ish and a player called RouDenlein was playing well but every time he was on the winning team he called all the rest NOOBS and LOOsers etc saying this is just 2 easy etc.
I asked him to not do it as most things are ok on this server but not calling folk NOOBS etc and he just carried on doing it saying well you are a NOOB what should I call you etc.
so I called for Admin a few times then some one who was specking with the name Somebody started swearing just for the fun of it I called Admin again waited a while it carried on so I left note sure if an admin came and checked it out later or not.

I know its worse at weekend etc for the admins so thanks for all the good work you all do you dont get thanked enugh

"Rocky" is not exactly a very special name, so I don't think it's fair to ask other players not to use it.

Rocky - only got the "Real" Rocky logged, both with and without (R) character playing lately. As for copying nicks - we have the technology to restrict nicks to known people - we use it for admins and those who have been maliciously faked before. I wouldn't consider 'Rocky' unique enough, but I would with the (R), although TBH if somebody faked a regular with a unique enough name so it wasn't likely to be accidental, they'd be banned anyway.

RoudenLeiw: Batty has had words with this player previously. Decision rests with her for further action if required.

he was banned for racism and generally abusive approach some time ago, as he seems to be continuing in the same vein his ban is now re-instated ..... indefinitely.

Multiplay rules state:
• Show respect for your fellow players - don't be abusive or use excessive swearing
• Promote fair and friendly play, Just because one person does it, doesn’t mean its ok for you to do it too!

Just to give a comparison as example: when I'm a guest at someone else's house and someone sits next to me who's making a mess of the place then the least thing I can do is tell that person to behave for that person would be disrespecting the hospitality of the owner.

Well, yeah - regular players have an interest in keeping the place tidy too. A guy called Laup once said about an Admin's duties:

"To ensure that all players enjoy themselves when playing on MPUK servers so that they would recommend MPUK to their friends."

Haha, I think its because the UT community is usually comprised of "older" people in general, the ones who at least didnt grow up around flamers etc. :P

Sorry Flash I did not make clear that Both names had the (R) with them

As allways these decisions are best left with those who may know about the person than us. past history etc.

This is probably because im a Simpler age to your mum ez64. Or any other Grown up UT Player.:D:

But mainly because I learnt the rules of fair play etc on the old TrufF servers and I belive thay still ring true here.

So whenever I see players giving any one a hard time as im just a normal player I ask them nicely to stop and if they dont, I do as we are asked to do and call Admin

Not just Older Tim but Nicer that any other community I have ever been in or visited.

And we did have loads of Flamers etc its just like here though we had good admins to sort them out.
I think thats why the TrufF Community attracted so many great people young and old, ie: not the level of play it was the quality of the admins there and now here as well.;-)

Well I am a bit late here. I didn't know untill now that I was banned. :( Well I'm sad that this happend. But I have never said to nobody anything rude or angry. Those words noobs etc. aren't from me.

It's true that Lazarus told me when I was playing on ctf#2 server that someone was on the dm#2. Here is what was wrong:
I have two computers at my home. On my computer I have this nick name Rocky® on the other computer is a nick name called ANT wich is my father. He is allsaw playing a lot of ut moustly on the dm#2 popular maps.

I was playing on my fathers computer, so I changed his name too Rocky®.
Then I forget too change the nick name back to his.
Then we were both playing Unreal Tournament, he was playing on dm#2 and I on ctf#2 whit the same names at the same time.

And on the ctf#2 when I was on it Lazarus told me that someone is on dm#2 server is useing the same nick name as me. I connected to dm#2 to see whats going on. And as I was on that server my name Rocky® has been changed automaticly to (Player13, Player11... ? I don't remmember). So there I know what was wrong, I have forget too change the name on my fathers computer back too his. I went to him and I told him too change the name and he allsaw did that.

That happend that day.

The second player called RouDenlein. I don't know nofting about him.

It's no problem Lazarus, it was my mistake. I have not change the name back. :(

Can someone please tell me, is there any way too get unbanned?
I'm deaply sorry for what has happend. And allsaw many admins knows me and I have not been rude or anything aginst mpuk rules.

You are NOT banned Rocky® and never were - only Roudenliew was banned and we know he has nothing at all to do with you.

Today however Raocky® WAS banned as he's someone already banned for nick-stealing and other abuses of the server rules.

You and ANT are welcome on the servers as ever.

You behave impeccably, Rocky, and set a great example to others - it's great to have you playing on our servers.

The only confusion is a couple of people have used nicks similar to yours recently, and both behaved in ways that got them booted. Don't worry - we have several ways of telling who people are besides their nicks :)
