I remembered about this classic game only a week back, and I've been playing through the descent 1 and 2 missions since. It's reminded me how fun the multiplayer in the game is, and knowing some of you still have this game on CD gathering dust somewhere, I was wondering who'd be interested in playing a few friendly matches.
It's highly possible even on low end machines. We can either use the MS-DOS version on DosBOX and play with IPX over UDP (Internet) or we can use the Windows port D2X-XL with TCP/IP.
I've still got some of my capture the flag maps around on a floppy disk somewhere too :D Anyone up for it?
Anyone interested?
If you don't have a copy any more, you're looking at a fiver max for a legit one. Click here if you have no idea what Descent 2 is (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Descent_II).
