Thats right folks! ESC-LAN 3 has been announced for the 1st of Febuary :]
We have 18 BYOC spaces for people who want to bring along their own computers and we have the rental of 18 Mega PC's from ESC, this will be a great combination of events, those of you who have always wanted to come along to a weekend LAN but didn't have the spec under the bonnet can rent a PC for the whole weekend, and whats better is that these PC's all come with every game you'll be needing to play over the course of the weekend.
Pricing will be set at the following:
BYOC Attendee: £25 - Covers entry and use of the network and internet for the whole weekend.
ESC PC Rental: £35 - Covers entry and use of the machine, games, network and internet for the whole weekend.
Tournaments:
As per with any event that Playtime is involved in, we will be running a few tournaments for you guys to win the usual selection of excellent prizes. Tourneys include :-

CSS 2v2:
The usually rules will apply. 1min 30 roundtime, mr15. Double elimination tournament structure. Map list is as follows:

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 [Console]:
16 player tourney, top16 teams in the game will be randomly drawn to each player. 4 groups of 4, top player of each group enters the semi finals, no extra time or penalties in group stages. 10 minute games, condition red.

Call of Duty 4: Gamboraffle!
You may or may not know the sturcture of the Gamboraffle. An entry fee of £1 is required which goes into an overall kitty. 3 Free-for-all games lasting 15/20 minutes are played on 3 different maps, and the final score of all players is recorded and added up at the end. The player with the highest score recieves 50% of the total kitty.
In addition to this, you can also bet on who you think will win. You can submit a ticket for who you think you will win, which will cost an extra £1 a ticket, and you can place multiple tickets on the same person (which multiplies your chance if it comes down to a raffle), or even yourself. The maps will be:

Trackmania ESWC:
Basically, this is 1 HUGE 15 minute race on the craziest map we can find. The winner is the person with the fastest time on Time Attack mode. If the map is completed by no one, a new map will be chosen.

Command and Conquer 3:
(Excuse the sketchy details) This will be 2v2 on maps chosen on the day by the players. The main format will be to eliminate the opposing team. Maps and unit limitations (if any) will be decided on the day.

On top of these individual prizes, each winner receives an ESC day pass.
