0.0 Ship?

So we've been discussing this a bit lately about what ships we should use out in 0.0 and so far everyone is settling on HAC's then battleships. Any input on what you'd recommend?

After my current BS is gone i'll probably stick to BC's + Tacklers for cheapness while i build up my experience in ze 0.0 peeveepee.

of course i'll keep my tier 2 mining barges to make that cash :P

what are you going to use the ships for?
pvp? pve?
if you are going to go down the hac route for pvp i would chose the tech 1 variant and use that for a while so you can hone the skills with that ship type and it doesnt cost much when you lose them and then move onto the hac variant once you are comfortable with it.
the tier 3 bcs are almost as good as hacs tbh and they are fully insurable and they have a higher survivability in fleets as they have a higher raw hp than hacs.
battleships in pvp require a little more experience with them as well as better skills to do the damage at long ranges, that and the fact that a lot of the tier 1 bs have almost no place in fleets. the domi and typhoon for example are next to useless as they cant hit at the ranges most fleet battles are fought at and bcs are better at anti support roles.

also if you like me have a name that is fairly close to the start of the alphabet (crazy hippo) you get called primary very quickly and therefore go boom quickly (often before you have even had a chance to align for a warp out or get out of a bubble). this is the main reason i rarely fly them as its no fun to lose a bs almost every fleet battle

yeah do NOT get in hacs untill you have alot of experiance flying cruisers. ive been flying stabbers for ages and gradually getting better at it, vaga is the next step up, just a very expensive uninsurable step.
