Intrigued, I always enjoyed DotA. Hopefully you wont need to spend 27 hours a day learning the potions (read: I never managed to wrap my head around it)

There is already a full game out based on dota called Darkness and Light. It's Korean so it's far more complicated than it should be. DotA has the right balance of if you suck, you suck hard. I'm pretty sure any proper game along the same format will be dumbed down to buggery and won't enjoy the same frequency of updates DotA gets.

Btw, the US version of Darkness and Light is called battle of shadows and it's in open beta at the moment

the endless hours on dota were awesome and still are, this wont be anywhere near as popular, looks like you will need 2 8800's just to run it :p

One of the reasons I enjoy DotA is that it actually requires thought and what items you choose to make, depend on the situation and how well you are playing.
