Was looking at some Battleclinic articles and saw this:
"Kill missions are generally quicker, but they give less standings and less agent rewards"
Personally I've tried to do nothing but kill missions, usually doing Internal Security or Command stuff. But I have been wanting to boost my standings as fast as possible, so if the courer missions pay off better, I might just break out the quicker ships and try and do them instead.
Anyone with experience on the matter?

Research social skills to improve your standings gains.
Yes that's right. In EVE you too can learn social skills. :p

Just stick to the agent missions you have the best standing/quality with to ensure the quickest standing gains be it admin or security it doesnt really matter ive found.

The most standing gains in general will be the highest quality agents. Aim for those.
And yes, connections, diplomacy, military connections, and political connections earn you more money / lp / standing gain per mission.

its usually a case of they balance out over time as the kill missions are quicker and so you can do more over time but have less standings increase, versus higher single standings increase per mission but they take longer to complete.
basicly it doesnt really matter a great deal. do whatever you you find enjoyable would be my advice.

I had various social skills up but missed that there was one specifically for Navy / Military related missions so I'll get that soon.
I've always gone for the highest quality agents in a preferred field, just wondered if there was truth to courier missions being better for boosting standings. If it's time vs payoff that's different as you say, Hippo, I'll stick to the kills then.
