Check your Alliance mails, but the war with BALEX is due to be over by 1800 EVE time today due to non payment of bills, and REPO have retracted the war against DAED, so will be over by approximately 23:31 today.

I can't see anything at eve-online because that site is blocked by the work proxy all day :(

Wars are official declarations, filed with Concord, saying Corp / Alliance A would like to war with Corp / Alliance B. Concord will then allow combat between the two waring sides in empire space, and wont interfere.

It costs money to file that declaration. Quite a bit if i recall, something like 50 mil. And lasts 1 week. If you want to extend that war, you have to pay another 50 mil. Failing to pay results in a cancelled war.

Once you are at war any member of the opposing force is considered "fair game" and can be attacked at any time anywhere in eve, without receiving a standing loss, regardless of the systems security level.

Concord will only step in if you attack a neutral party.

I cant remember the number. Seemed a lot to me at the time.

Edit: Just looked, it is 50mil / week, however it is incremental. So if you have 1 war it costs 50mil / week per war. if you have 2 wars it costs 100mil / week per war. 3 wars, 150mil / wk / war. 4 wars = 200mil/wk/war.

So to run 4 wars will cost you 800 million / week in concord fees.

privateers are an alliance that until CCP nerfed the war system late last year had declared war on just about everyone in empire.

Was a bloody good laugh, Altho generally ended in being raped by a 50man gang at the end of the day ;)
