i looked at the website and nothings happened for months! i loved this game, altho i got steam version now it dont work.. or dose anyone else know anything like this mod for hl2?

The HL2 version won't be worked on any more until the current HL1 version is finished.

Version 3.0 (current) works on Steam if you have Half-Life 1 (about a fiver these days).

i got hl1 but on steam only i lost the disk yrs ago.. but register it on steam when steam was new and rather ****.

That's pretty lame. They should swallow their pride and bin the HL1 version; as it IS ancient.

If you want to play HL2 as co-op, you can try Synergy, however it is not nearly as good as Sven Co-op IMO.

And it's been out of active development for a considerable time.

because they have nothing to change with it, valve focused their lot of time and money on cs:s rather than 1.6, whether it was worth it... well just look at player numbers and popularity figures

Right now, co-op mode with the source engine, as stated, is Synergy.

There are still some bugs to kill and basicly all of the maps are very poor.
But the general co-op idea is there, but as it is right now, i find it more like a "proof of concept" game than an actual game.

And for Svencoop 2.
The dev team are working on Svencoop 3.5, wich is due to be released in three stages, Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Bronze is the first release, with bugs.
Silver is bugfixing and added features
Gold is more bugfixing and clean-up

After this, the dev team will begin the work in Svencoop 2 (Svencoop forHL2)

3.5 is not out yet.

3.0 is the latest version. You install it within your Steam's Half-Life folder.
