Hi,
I'm here to report a problem related to the "multiplay" UT3 Demo servers.
The problem is that they never show up in the list.
I mean, i (we) can see some of them once every 100 "refresh".
I'm not going to buy the full game in a while so it's really sad to me that sometimes only 1 or 2 full and laggy servers are visible... while i know that there are some good servers out there.
But empty.
I'm talking about vctf, don't know if it's the same for other gametypes.
Thanks for everything. :)

Hi, just checking on this now for you.

Any news?
There are vctf servers like "annihilate" that (when are up) show up in the list in 70% of the searches you can do.
It think the demo is a bit buggy so probably you cannot do something about the other 30%.
But the problem is that multiplay servers are almost never shown to anyone.
There should be some wrong settings...
Thanks again :keke:

It's to do with gamespy, the servers show up occassionally which suggests they are fine, however they are not always there. Still investigating.

I've found a way to play on the multiplay server 85.236.100.213
I created a "server.txt" under the binaries folder.
I wrote open 85.236.100.213:8177 in the file.
During the game now i can simply write "exec server.txt" in the console to connect to the server.
But it's always empty because no one can see it in the list (the others few non-multiplay servers are always full)
Edit:i'm always talking about vctf, but also the others multiplay servers share the same problem.

I'm stumped by the same problem guys. I haev 2 servers running, neither show on master list. Damn Annihilate, how do they show on the list?? I'm jealous. BTW EagleFlyFree, I've seen you logged in there before. Havent seen your name in a while, what username you using now?

If you do this you garantee they will never show, as connecting to a server like this makes it a LAN server, yes stupid, but I'm afraid thats how bad the server was when the demo was released :(
This could in fact be the entire reason why the are not showing as it only takes one person to use "open XXXXX" in the console to break the server.

yes your right. but- let me further specify. After rebooting server, it will show in list. I know even a regular login through normal list, (not the open 222.xx.xxx.x command) will make it disappear, i have tested myself. That "annihilate" server in the vctf section has the workaround figured out. I'm stumped, and stuck paying for 2 servers that dont show. ;(

Ok so I just checked the master list here and every single one of our 12 demo servers are showing in fact half of the demo server list is our servers.
Are you saying your not seeing these servers in the client?

I've just spent a good few hours looking at this and all I can see is the fact the client is broken in some major way. The master server is returning the servers just fine, the client is querying the servers and the servers are responding just fine yet they are not listing.
This is not just our servers either everyones are doing it. I even fired up a server from the client and tested that and still got the same results.
