View Full Version : DEMOREC, and creating movies

I know what I've been meaning to ask...does anyone know of an easy way to record UT games and make them public? Seen a load on YouTube, where it seems the camera angle can be set to anywhere on the map, and can pan and track and all sorts.

If Neo recorded the w00t match last night between us TPBs and Drummer/Duffy, he and I were both wondering how it would be possible to convert that to an MPEG or something.

Or is there other software that can run alongside UT and make recordings? I've run my own server before and started DEMOREC, but it slows everything down about ten-fold. Last night, after w00t, me and M4rdy went onto LMS Instagib, and there was someone there called KIPPER_KILLER who was cheating. I spectated him and he clearly had an Aimbot. I ran DEMOREC there, and it didn't slow me down at all, but other than playing it to myself in UT I'm not sure how I can distribute these recordings.

Thanks.

I've never done any videos but I have seen people talking about RypelCam:

I think that does the special camera effects etc but I'm kinda clueless to it all :P

Thanks oxy, looks like a bit of a complex guide, but I'll see what I can do.

Pileyrei,

In the new patch there's an option in the menu under video->advanced, I believe this is what you're looking for.

on topic: Yeah RypelCam.
