There's a patch coming!

Coming at the end of December, fixing mainly the choppy framterate that some people suffer from and its also introducing LAN :D:D

And there's a booster pack coming now aswell, again at the end of December.
It adds 16 new cars and 2 new tracks and guess what?
It's free! :awesome:

Audi R8, Aston Martin DBR9, Koenigsegg CCX, Plymouth Road Runner, SEAT Leon Cupra, McLaren F1, Honda S2000 and the Bugatti Veyron 16.4

I thought you could buy the Koenigsegg already in the game, fairly sure i owned one at one point... Also, you can get these cars in game with the hex editor guide thing, then you need the damage mod along with it. As most of those cars are already there in the install dir, i just guess they weren't finished in time for the release. I suppose its a better way of going around pushing a unfinished game with all the content in one go. Should be fun :awesome:

Well so far, the patch has killed my install, probably due to me being a little sneaky ;)

be carefull with the patch, from what i can make out there are some serious stability issues in it. some people are bodging it atm but it seems to be just pure luck atm, i will keep you advised if i spot anything

Found a fix;
Reinstall.
Download and install this patch; http://www.nfsplanet.com/download.php?http://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/NFS/ps_booster1/dlcpatchrelease_iso.exe
This is the one with the background screen and not the dos box.
Find the correct tools to run it for NFS:PS v1.1 (pm me)
Then it works.
Just been playing it, I guess you've got redo the super promotion days to unlock the new cars as they're not in the car lot straight off.

There's a couple of things that they've broken though - some of the cars are half missing, so you see the chassis and the roll bar of the rear half, its a bit weird but only seems to happen to the camero ss

your fix didnt work for me, however as i started it up to nab screens of all my car configs i notifced that punkbuster updated itself and its been fine since :confused:

how rare. Well, a little more poking around, each patch is region specific. Considering none of the download places mention this - only place i found this was on the EA forums tech help bit.

Since the supposed patch though, i've had the extra race days - but i can't get the extra cars. I wanted an s2000 :(
Completed the game last night and with still only 57 cars in the car lot...

well i found out how they fixed the random frame stutter, they locked the FPS to 30 D:

The patch has been removed from EA servers - Which is a little puzzling. Seeing as it ****s up more things that it adds. I'll guess we'll be waiting for a 1.2 patch now to fix it properly..

all seems fine here bar the lack of new motors, im wondering if its not the showdowns you have to beat but the elites to unlock the new motors, gonna take on Ray Greiger again see what happens.

I still can't decide if I like this game or not. Perhaps I need to play it more, only done the first race, the second race my sound crashed then my pc locked. Go EA. ;)

Is this game still at 1.1 ? as i havnt seen any new patchs on 3d gamers for awhile, have they completely drop support for this game
