Do you think you are the Don when it comes to gaming?
Can you frag faster than we can spell it, or think faster than a speeding bullet?
Would you like to earn money playing games?
If yes, read on...
We would like to showcase you on our new fun internet gaming channel. We cover all styles; action, strategy etc.
And we just want you to be yourself, or of course use your pseudonym, wear a batman outfit, whatever...

Hi,
I hope this thread isn’t deleted. Nothing wrong with doing a show dedicated to computer games, surely?
Remember the series on BBC2 called Time Commanders? If I remember correctly, it was a special version of the strategy game Total War that re-enacted the Battle of Watling Road in Roman times. I loved this show and was sad when it was axed.
We think it will be cool to bring out a new computer games show. One that shows the skills of computer game players (competitions with prize money), the technology and faces of people who are behind the games, a review of the latest upcoming games and so forth.
We are a new film and TV production company and operate a points system; so the more people who watch the show, the more everyone gets paid. Pretty simple.
Thanks Oxy, just email some details to us. Same goes for anyone else interested...
Can email us on inlovewithgames@googlemail.com, include also if you have been in any tournaments, what games you like playing etc. And we will give you all the details.
Best,
Julian

Oxy wasn't signing up... Honestly I don't think you'll be getting many people interested unless you give a few more details up front.

How condescending do you want to get? This is going to be another one of those ****ty shows based on consoles with "cool dudes" raving about whichever game they are paid to rave about.
How about you take your target audience seriously and your potential participants seriously and you might get somewhere, until then gtfo.

No problemo,
As explained earlier it is an internet show about computer gaming and if the show goes well, it will be on our ipTV channel too. As part of our first show, we will have a TV presenter interview top gamer(s) and show screenshots of them playing game(s).
We expect to pay around £500-£1000 depending on viewer figures. Will be a day's work. Can be a day in the weekend too.
Of course the games have to be current and the gamer(s) near top in their field. So we are looking at tournament winners or runner ups, or someone very well respected and known in the gaming community in the UK/London.
If you are interested, drop me an email with more details about yourself and gaming experience to inlovewithgames@googlemail.com
We are based in Tower Bridge, London. Providing your cv adds up, we will invite you down for a further chat.
Cheers,
Julian

I find it shocking and or suspicious that you are looking for people for this. Yet you run your (very grand/big) sounding company from a googlemail address. Which instantly destroyted every ounce of credibility I saw in your otherwise well written posts

Sir we can release your £500-1000 monies if you just send us your bank account details and mothers maiden name and your pet.
This could be good and what the uk needs for gaming but using another companys domain that willy nilly can use is a bit iffy.
even ez64 has his own domain!

If you wish, you can use our email address magictownmedia@googlemail.com
We are currently building a dedicated website for the gaming channel and it will be under the inlovewithgames url
all the domains will be sorted out as well.
We have been set up officially for five weeks, but believe me I've done a few years work to get to this stage. And we will shoot the show using our own Panasonic HD equipment and production crew. Check out the magictownmedia url if you like. (I need 15 posts apparently to post here the url explicitly, just add .com or .co.uk to the name).
The technology we have been co-developing for streaming video will go alpha on January 17th 2008. It will be showing independent and foreign films.
Having been a game fanatic, I thought it be great to have a dedicated show (hopefully a channel) for gamers.
Let me put it this way... what sort of show would you like to see?
Maybe the format we will be doing is too traditional?
I know to expect a whole raft of negative responses, but thanks to all those who have emailed me with your support.
Cheers,
Julian

If that is the case then it seems a shame to have not waited a few weeks. As you would be a much more credible person if those were in place.

True, I also believe in the saying "seize the day".
We are not expected to start the show until spring 2008, and I think it's good to let people know sooner. Also some of the elements of the show will have to be done sooner.
Our independent and foreign film channel will be up earlier and showing films from January 17th. This will be from our website nonmultiplexcinema (put www and .com in the right place for the url).
In the meantime, the gaming website is being worked on and will let you know when first alpha stage is done for your comments, and we would certainly be very grateful for some.
Best,
Julian
