im now the community liason for quakes 1/2/3/4

well im new to multiplay but not to quake
ive played the game for about 8 years now
so i have a little bit of background to the games

i will be building a team that has and is playing at least
one of the quake games

so first off im working on the q4 q3 q2 servers
any mods you would like to see post them here
with links to a site where we can download them

I play quake3 rocket arena nearly every evening, I haven't found a single fps game that comes close to the same adrenalin rush that this game can give. Because it's an old game good servers are limited there are only 4 or 5 servers that are playable in the uk with 3 of them being main ones.

One of them is called Frag Matrix this is hosted by an individual who seems to have a short fuse and is power mad so many ppl despise him and often find them selves banned for no reason. The other 2 server are HKDM Map1 and 11 both good server full every evening.

It would be great if you could get an RA3 server up, would have to be minimum 20 player server ideally 32. If you need any admin help with quake3 severs I am available, like yourself I have been with the quake community for some time.

the quake3 server is presently runing on linux so a like to RA3 would be of great
help in geting the linux files

Im pretty damn pro at quake one, all I played since I was 8 years old on my pc.

I would love to see a server up if just for the nostalgia.

tryed to get it running but with very little luck
it needs to run on my system to beable to test etc

i got to geting glquake to kinda work with my nvidia card
but it crashes at the console loading screen :(

no you dont need quakeworld but
quakeworld is less laggy etc
but quakeworld is server side only from what
i understand

ok kots2007 the mod seems to not like something to do with how it is setup on our servers how ever our techies are looking into it and we are in contact with the mod makers to resolve the issue

quake1 is on hold while we concentrate of the kots2007 issue once thats resolved ill move on to the quake1 seting up

any links to fixes etc for the opengl stuff would be great as at present i cant run quake on my pc which causes major issuses for me in testing and admining a quake server

might call on you as a server admin Buzz :P

There seems to be a few servers that setup so everything can be done within by players unless u take piss an admin comes in and BANS UR ASS!

Example one sever I use, u can type in console 1on1, 2on2, 4on4, FFA etc to set it up for that.
Then just type the maps u want in console what most typed is loaded.

Such a awesome game QW.
Can we get a server defo! somne 1v1, some ffa! kick arse

Maybe a fun online league from MPUK!

I just got ezquake installed it, it requests pak1 showed it to that and installed.
Then just loaded up and went to servers and pld.

I will be on that server for ages.
I can remeber playing quake 1 over 2 laptops with a serial cable.

KQP = killer quake patch

Yeah. You will have an updated version of the game, you can play it on any computer anywhere, any time, the servers and all things in your profile will be available with your login, community community community. It will all be right there. Think Halo 3 stuff. i assume that is what Quake Live is bringing. Oh and its free. The big thing you need to know is it could potentially bring alot of new players and we are in dire need. Especially in this noob console game takeover.

hey was wondering what size the quake 3 community is that's gonna be attending i34? i myself play the mod excessive plus, totally awesome :) and cpma here and there (ctf mainly)... would be nice to set some games up whilst there :)

quake3 along with the other quakes has been quiet over the last few months
im supposed to be sorting out all the servers geting mods up that peeps want etc

unfortunatly im having net problems and this is realy interfering with this plan
at present BT admit i have a problem with my BB but as it happens at night
they will only send an engineer out if i pay them lots of money to fix there line "$%$^^%

my isp is working on this at present and i will try to get some stuff done
but uploading files etc is not an option as it seems they can go corupt due to the massive errors on my line :(
