wow + multiplay servers = 300/500ms in peak times for me
bbc.co.uk pings in around 300ms

Do any of the above around 1am - 4pm and you get your happy 10-20ms pings

here is some info when the problem accurs, virgin keep telling me everything is fine and that online games are not supported with them, and as long as I can browse the net and download they have done there bit.

Could somebody please check below and let me know if they see anything odd, which might indeed be me casuing this.

Your help with this would be great, thanks.

ah another joy of virgin broadband, I think someone said adjusting your MTU could help

but 300ms is beyond silly, ring virgin up or switch provider.

Thanks for the reply, Virgin told me 4 times now nothing is wrong. They have checked my modem, power levels etc etc.

Switching providers is the next step :)

You cable or DSL?

Neo_ad

Looks to me like a lack of capacity all over the place.

Telia in London and routes via LINX out of the BY network are over congested if the response times on those traces are to be believed. :)

Trust me they are :(

This has been going on since last friday, well had enough now.

So close to Christmas its going to be almost impossible to get an ADSL replacement too.

Its very true, i currently love getting listed 16-30ms pings to most TF2 servers <3 MPUK DSL :D

I ping 7-10 to lots of TF2 servers. Someone's hidden a server farm in my basement. Yay! :)

I get 15 ping to NL servers from my connection, now that is just silly.

Ok, so you have a space-time distortion in your basement. Bloody one-up-man-ship.

if I see a ping below 50ms in peak times I may get a hard on! :)
