Just in case we needed any more confirmation that the correct amount of attention to quality wasnt given due to the game being a console port:

Midway Games Inc. and Epic Games today announced that the PlayStation 3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 is scheduled to ship to retail outlets in North America on December 10th. It is expected to begin arriving in stores in limited quantities the following day, with a U.S. suggested retail price of $59.95. The highly anticipated first-person shooter has already shipped internationally for the PC and is available for a U.S. suggested retail price of $49.95 and $59.95 for the collector's edition.

the 90's called, they want their memo back reminding everyone that consoles are where the money is at (unless you're blizzard). sad but true

They abandoned it as far as I am aware due to it being an incredably lengthy process to compile the games and to get them to run for testing every time a new bug or something was fixed.

Not 100% sure on that though.
