anyone else slightly worried about the harbingers of weather predicting more floodage at the end of november / beginning of december?

No.
Its always doom and gloom this and end of the world that.
Somehow, "TORRENTIAL FLOODS HEADING FOR NATION" makes more interesting reading than "Mild puddles on sides of roads"
I never pay any attention to the news or the weather. Its not like either is going to stop me from doing what I need or want to do. Just take it as it comes.

Nope, i live on a hill.
Only possible issue is water building up in an area behind the kitchen but we have a high volume pump that can handle it :D

your point would be slightly more valid if there hadnt, in fact, been torrential floods all over the nation earlier in the year :p

Hopefully Stratford Raecourse have learnt from their previous mistakes and built in super duper flood protection...
Or not!
Fingers crossed all...

Il agree they were pretty bad. And it was the one time in my memory where the weather / news forecasts were pretty accurate.
Most of the time though, I ignore the weather. Every time the AA, Police, Government etc all go "omgnoes arctic blast freezes nation, millions will starve" big whine comes along, I open up my curtains the next day to find frost on my car. No snow. No doom and gloom. No end of the world. No starving families.
This has been the case as long as I can remember.
Best quote ever
