As per the title, apart from these forums ofc, where do clan players and good players of stuff like UT3 hang out? I used to find barrysworld a great community in years past, but I've not since come across a replacement. Trickery.net has a small community and I spend time on that forum. Is it enemy down? It seems to me like ED has taken over from clanbase since I used to play UT2K4 in a clan in terms of running ladders and such for all games, but is it a community as such?

Best place to interact usually involves IRC (usually Quakenet).

Well. Not this space cos this is the Unreal Forum. Watch some other space which is located quite near this space.

Specifically I had a question about which high end mouse and mats people find best as well as advice on mouse acceleration in-game. I didnt find posting on hexus.net all that helpful on that you see.

The only non-standard mouse I own is a Micros~1 Intelli Mouse Explorer, so that's what I find best. Just don't buy the Platinum version because its mouse wheel isn't suitable for gaming. And for the pad: Big and low resistance. I have a S&S Steelpad (with 0% steel) but which mousepad is for you depends on how much money you want to spend and how long the pad should last. Some allow for very fast movements, but after one year you can throw them away.

I was thinking about the new razer lachesis, but I've read a few reviews and tbh it's probably not as good as the numbers and tech blurb make it sound at first. Might get an mx518 as an upgrade at some for my mx510 which I'm not unhappy with, but it is 3 years old now.

MX518 is an excellet rodent. It needed an excellent mouse to draw me away from the MS intellimouse explorer 3. And the 518 was it.
